Fremont Mission Peak for First Time Trekkers

Hi, I am GR Reddy from India...

As I landed in SFO the day one on 29th March and reached Fremont I have been looking at it from my brother's apartments... Wanted to trek the peak as it stands tall in and around the place. 

Finally on 6th April 2013 we did it.. I would rate this peak difficulty as moderate. Any first timers can definitely do.. I had three of them who joined me who never done any trek in their life.  We were able to climb in 2 hours and climb-down in 1 hour 25 min.   I would say for any first time trekkers this would be the best.

The entire trek was smooth with nice weather as you hike the highest points you would be amidst the clouds and you would definitely do not feel the stress et'al. The view of Bay from to top is just amazing... Do not stop by and take some of the breath taking pictures, especially when the sky is clear and a beautiful sun shine in the bay area.  

Just to be careful on the top of the peak where it may be slippery some time due to the clouds and moisture around. Wear comfortable cloths and carry water and few energy bars to keep you going. If you have kids who are less than 10 years, you can take them upto few stop points and I am sure they enjoy. Any kid over 10 years can easily do it.

But Overall its a great trek location... I am sure i would come back whenever I visit US again.

Vipul completed his first Everest Base Camp

I am happy to note that Vipul arrived at Everest Base Camp on 11th Feb 2012. I wish him many more achievements in future.

Our First Trek to Himalaya Range (1st to 13th May 2010)

It was first time for every one of us in the team... The team who choose to take a different vacation... Vudumula Srini, Raghu, GR Reddy, Dinesh, Pravina, Kirthi Kandadi, Poornima, Swathi... Not just these but we had a great motivating Kids team Suhit (6), Satvik (10), Sohan (10),Meghana (11),Ananya (8) who are the leaders of this trek...
We have covered around 100 km trek from Manebanjang to tumling to Kalpokri to Sandakpur (Sandakpu) to Phalut to Ghorki to Rimbhik

We shall write more as we move on... this is just a beginning......
